Indian Summer, Ft. Langley

Published by Joe at 9:32 pm under Minutiae

I’m not gonna bullshit ya. I’m pretty proud of this shot :)

I took this earlier today on our way to Ft. Langley where we had lunch. I should have been working but I was convinced this would be the last weekend of sunshine and warmth before winter bites our asses. We drove to the ferry and walked on to avoid the five sailing wait. This photo was shot standing on the bridge that crosses a small arm of the river just before reaching the Fort. It’s actually a blend of two exposures, one for the sky and the other for the foreground. The shots were hand-held and didn’t line up very well at all but I don’t think you can spot the blend.

Joe that’s a gorgeous shot. Do you happen to know what kind of trees the bright chartreuse one are?
To me there is nothing better than Autumn when you have the dark evergreens contrasting with the bright colors of the deciduous trees.
    Hope your lunch was good!
Say “hey” to Diana for me.

Heya Jackie. Sorry, I don’t know what kind of trees they are. There certainly are a lot of maples around but I don’t think those are maples. Poplars? Dunno. Will say hi to Di and lunch was yummy. We had burgers (not as good as Jack’s) and potato salad.

This is really cool. I’d love to see what this looks like printed out on canvas or some other textured stock.

That’s a great shot, I love the swish effect in the trees from the double exposure.
