A random blog post I came across while avoiding the mind-numbingly dull project I should be working on perfectly sums up why I didn’t turn the Oscars on last night while working on the same boring project I’m avoiding right now.

Seriously, wtf were they smoking when they gave Jennifer Hudson an Oscar?

    She might have been great — I just cant believe they gave her an Oscar IN HER FIRST MOVIE EVER.

    Oscar is notorious for giving young first-time actresses the best supporting Oscar,
    There are a bunch of them but the one I can think of off-hand is Marisa Tomei in “My Cousin Vinny”.
    They just like to do that.

    Mira Sorvino in Mighty Aphrodite. She leveraged the hell out of that and brought us Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
