Yeah. Nice job parking., originally uploaded by daveronku.

Honestly. How the hell do you do this?
Usually, when people do a crappy job of parking in front of our building, they park too far from the curb. Apparently, this person decided to err on the side of caution.
Hey, want to bet this car can be seen driving around with half a foot of snow on the windshield?

“Honestly. How the hell do you do this?”

Simple, they backed in and the rear tire road up the apron of the parking lot.

I’ll guess the guy has a wallet like George Costanza in his back left pocket while driving. So to him, this feels level.

Notice only the back tire is on the curb. That’s because it has positraction.
The car that made these two, equal-length tire marks had positraction. You can’t make those marks without positraction, which was not available on the ‘64 Buick Skylark!
It’s a limited slip differential which distributes power equally to both the right and left tires. The ‘64 Skylark had a regular differential, which, anyone who’s been stuck in the mud in Alabama knows, you step on the gas, one tire spins, the other tire does nothing.

Did Jackie just use “limited slip differential” in a sentence?

Unlike the Civic, I believe the ‘64 Buick Skylark had a boiler room.

    Likely driven by two ‘yoots’.

okay, I would probably do that while trying to park…but I wouldn’t LEAVE it that way for someone to photograph and post on the net. ;-)
