Climate Action Dividend

Dave is better at imbedding videos so you’ll have to click the link above to view the clip I recorded from this morning’s local news. On July 1st the BC government will institute its new “Carbon Tax” to “help the environment”. The new tax will be in the form of 2.4¢ added to each litre of gas purchased at the pump. The government has also began mailing out $100 “Climate Action Dividends” which us dutiful citizens are expected to use toward something Green such as a new pair of running shoes or medicinal marijuana. I may be reading into that myself but I digress. Please watch the clip and see how Mr. MacDonald of Glencoe has chosen to spend his $100 Climate Action Dividend.

I always wondered where Fat Bastard was living these days.

Perhaps for those with electronic banking and e-mail, the BC government could pass out $125, for saving the world from bills and checks having to be mailed. So the gas tax you pay gets massaged into a big ball, then mailed out to your friends and neighbors? Brilliant! I love forced redistribution of wealth. If they really cared about something green coming from this, the government would have kept the tax and bought trees. I believe this is what they call “the beginning”….

Don’t get me started on this “green” shit, “global warming” crap. I have to bite my lip and just go with a funny statistic I heard the other day. Maybe running shoes and whiskey are the ticket. The average American walks about 900 miles a year and consumes 22 gallons of alcohol a year, that means that on average Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon, which is not bad.

Global warming crap?
*sigh*

I dunno, would it be such a bad thing if we had cleaner air to breath?
Oh shit, I just remembered I gotta drive 2 blocks to get a gallon of milk. Talk to you later.
