Panasonic GH1 First Footage

Panasonic GH1 First Footage from Joe Mendel on Vimeo.
Shot this footage today, the very day I picked up my new Panasonic GH1. This is literally out-of-the-box-have-little-idea-how-to-operate-this-camera-or-play-with-the-menu-settings footage. I imported into iMovie 09, dropped the exposure 10%, increased contrast 10% and added the music and fades. I guess I screwed up importing into iMovie because I followed the program’s suggested settings which is not HD. Anywho, still looks pretty good. You can download the uncompressed version here.

Good Lord, man, read the whole instruction book. That looked just awful. No, wait….that was pretty good. I’ll bet that does great macro stuff.
I miss the old iPhoto my own self, but probably haven’t played with 09 enough. The dog’s ability to be distracted reminds me of an 8 year old I know….

That is one gorgeous hunk of dogflesh. And I can’t help noticing the movie star teeth!! Those are the whitest dogteeth I’ve ever seen!
Oh – the video’s good too. I’m just distracted by the star.

Thanks Jackie. She is a pretty girl isn’t she? I’m afraid she’s become somewhat of a prima donna with her new found stardom. She’s demanding her own trailer.

We need to see some footage of her getting major air time. Get on that!
